What is your role and what does in entail?
I lead the Paramount+ Design Team. The designers that I work with are a dedicated and talented group. Together we solve the creative problems behind most of the design work that promotes Paramount+ here in Australia — everything from bus and tram ads to TV and cinema screens, social media, on-platform creative, and local events.
What do you love most about working at Paramount?
I love how well matched I am to my job. After doing the Clifton Strengths workshop, I realised I do my best work when solving problems alongside people I have strong relationships with. This is what I get to do on a daily basis. Hard not to be grateful for that.
What’s been your proudest personal and professional achievement so far?
Proudest personal achievement: I should say something about my children, but really I’m most proud (and surprised) about being able to do pull ups in my 40’s. Proudest professional achievement: Building a career that I genuinely enjoy.
Who is Michelle outside of Paramount?
Outside of Paramount, I’m mostly recovering from the existential crisis brought on by my 30-year high school reunion. My simple pleasures these days are drawing, the gym, working through an unreasonable number of romantasy novels, and — thanks to relentless peer pressure from my team — working through all 30 episodes of Love Island. All while trying to be a loving (and vaguely responsible) parent.
What would we find you doing on weekends?
Trying to wear my kids out so I can escape for a nap.
