Have You Met Chris?

Four years in, one interstate move, and already making himself right at home in a new market. Meet Chris, our Group Client Partner who traded Sydney for Brisbane and hasn’t looked back. He’s on a mission to get to know Brissie clients, just smashed his first fitness race, and has become a fixture at literally every live sporting event in Queensland. His current viewing obsession is Lioness while counting down to Big Brother.

How long have you been at Paramount?

Close to four years now – it’s definitely flown by – and I just moved to Brisbane in January.

Tell us about your role and what you like most about it.

I’ve been really fortunate to make the move from Sydney to Brisbane in a Group Client Partner role, which has been an awesome opportunity both professionally and personally.

What I’m enjoying most is getting to know the Brisbane market and how close-knit the media community is. I’ve loved the diversity of clients and the different environments you get to work in; one day I’m presenting in a boardroom with Amart, and the next I’m pitching an opportunity to Moloney Media from a garage!

I’m also really enjoying being part of a close team. The camaraderie is easy to see; we support each other, have each other’s backs and, importantly, genuinely enjoy working together (and socialising together!).

What’s been your proudest personal and/or professional achievement so far?

On a personal level, completing my first fitness race (Paladin), was a pretty big achievement… although I’m still feeling it! Professionally, being nominated for Media i’s Sales Person of the Year in Sydney in 2025 was definitely a highlight and something I am really proud of. Now that I’m in Brisbane, I’ll be pushing hard for another nomination, and hopefully a win in 2027!

Who is Chris outside of work?

Moving to a new state has been a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Joining Genesis Gym has played a big part in building my friendship group here in Brisbane. I’m slowly getting back into the swing of playing golf, but I’ve probably spent more time watching sport than playing it since moving up here. I’ve been to plenty of live sporting events, from rugby union and Socceroos games to Supercars, NRL and AFL. Basically, if there’s a live sporting event on, I’m there!

What shows are you watching or looking forward to watching?

I’m loving Lioness at the moment, and I’m also pumped for Big Brother! It’s shaping up to be a huge season, so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what’s in store.
