Police Comedy Cop This Wraps Production In Melbourne.
A squad of Australia’s finest comedians assembled in Melbourne last month to film the telemovie, Cop This, that will premiere on 10 later this year.
Created, written, produced and co-directed by Ed Kavalee and starring over 40 of Ed’s big-name buddies, this comedy feature takes place on Grand Final Day and is set in a suburban police station about to be replaced by an AI ‘Terminal’.
On the last day of operation, the station’s two remaining cops (Nicolette Minster and Ray O’Leary) are tasked with babysitting a drug dealer for 24 hours.
Headlining Cop This are Nicolette Minster, Ed Kavalee, Ray O’Leary, Rob Carlton, Tony Martin, Dilruk Jayasinha, Toby Truslove and Gary Sweet.
They join a veritable who’s-who of the Australian comedy scene in a massive ensemble cast, including Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann, Dane Simpson, Celia Pacquola, Rob Sitch, Josh Lawson, Violeta Brau Mugica, Dave Hughes, Ash Williams, Anthony Selemidis, Lizzy Hoo, Tommy Little, Ben Knight, Claire Hooper, Ryan Moloney, Lawrence Mooney, Dave Quirk, Amy Ruffle, Tiana Hogben, Firdi Billimoria, Ryan Shelton, Oliver Clark, Mick Molloy, Nick Capper, Bron Lewis, Marsha Vassilevskaia, Sonia Di Iorio, Rob Lloyd, Tom Gleisner, Kate Langbroek and Grant Denyer. With maybe, just maybe, a surprise or two in store.
