After decades of thunder on the Island, MotoGP™ is preparing for one final roar at Phillip Island.

The world’s greatest motorcycle racers will descend on the iconic coastal circuit for the MotoGP™ Grand Prix of Australia, broadcast live and free on 10 across Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 October.

With the championship hanging in the balance and the Australian Grand Prix preparing to move to Adelaide in 2027, it’s shaping up as an unforgettable farewell to one of motorsport’s most spectacular venues.

Phillip Island first hosted the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in 1989 and has been its home since 1997, delivering decades of breathtaking racing, unforgettable victories and some of the most thrilling moments in MotoGP™ history.

And this year’s championship battle promises to deliver plenty more drama.

Just two points separate reigning world champion Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin following a thrilling Indonesian Grand Prix, where the championship lead changed hands twice. Marquez briefly seized the advantage with victory in Saturday’s Sprint, before Martin reclaimed the top spot with a podium finish on Sunday. With Marco Bezzecchi also firmly in the title hunt following his Indonesian Grand Prix victory, the stage is set for an electrifying showdown at Phillip Island.

Australian fans will also have their own hero to cheer on, with Townsville’s Jack Miller returning for his home Grand Prix aboard the Prima Pramac Yamaha.

Leading 10’s coverage is Tara Rushton, joined by former Grand Prix racer and 500cc World Championship runner-up Daryl Beattie, acclaimed motorsport journalist Sam Charlwood and two-time Isle of Man TT winner Cameron Donald.

Together, they will bring viewers expert commentary, analysis, exclusive pit lane interviews and all the atmosphere from one of the biggest weekends on the Australian motorsport calendar.

Adam Cush, Sports Production Director for 10, said: “There’s something truly special about MotoGP at Phillip Island. The breathtaking scenery, the unpredictable conditions and the sheer speed of these incredible machines make it one of the great spectacles in world sport.

“This year’s event carries even more significance as we farewell a circuit that has delivered so many unforgettable moments. With the championship battle going down to the wire, we’re thrilled to bring Australian viewers every moment of the action, live and free on 10.”

The action gets underway on Saturday, 24 October, with a 90-minute season preview followed by the electrifying 13-lap MotoGP™ Sprint, where crucial championship points will be up for grabs.

Then on Sunday, 25 October, the stakes rise even higher, with Australia’s Joel Kelso in Moto3™ and Senna Agius, who steps up to MotoGP™ next year, in Moto2™, before the world’s best riders’ line up for the 27-lap MotoGP™ Grand Prix.

One iconic circuit. One final farewell. And a world championship hanging in the balance.
