Tell us about your role and what you do in your HR Ops role.
I’m part of the HR Operations team (also known as the team behind AskHR).
We are the first point of contact for all team member queries. My day-to-day role involves a bit of everything, however, my core responsibilities are to support my team members with the knowledge, skills, and resources related to their HR and employment-related enquiries.
Who is the Tyra Styles outside of Paramount? Where would we find you on the weekend?
You will find me at the beach with friends or out playing sports in the summer. If it’s a long weekend, I might also be visiting friends and family at home in New Zealand. Most importantly, how could I forget, my go-to coffee shop every Saturday morning – Jacks in North Bondi!
What’s the best part about being in HR?
The best part about being an HR Coordinator is having the chance to support and connect with the team on a daily basis. I enjoy working in a role that is quite diverse and allows me to explore and learn all the facets of HR, whether that is helping team members navigate their questions, supporting them with onboarding, or working on projects or processes to streamline HR efficiencies.
What’s the most common HR question you get, and what’s the answer (so we can all stop asking)?
Q: Where can I find the company policies?
A: All company policies are available on the global intranet, Murray. You can access Murray via the Okta lobby. Once you select the Policies tab at the top of the screen, the Australian policies as well as other relevant information and documents are further down the page.
Can you share a little-known HR perk or benefit that team members might not be taking full advantage of?
One fantastic perk that team members might not fully utilise is Reward Gateway.
This platform offers discounts and exclusive deals on a wide range of products and services – everything from groceries to electronics to travel. It’s a great way to access exclusive discounts and offers, so make sure you’re taking full advantage of it – I know I do!
