Nicole Sinclair – Senior Vice President, South Asia

What is your role and what does it entail?

I’m the Senior Vice President, South Asia, Content Licensing. My team and I are responsible for licensing Paramount’s film and TV content across all SVOD, pay and free tv, AVOD/FVOD and FAST platforms in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and India.

What do you love most about your role?

I’m passionate about content and getting to work with truly iconic film and TV that constantly inspires and excites me. Our catalogue has so much legacy behind it, and I love being part of getting it out to the world.

How do you build a cohesive regional strategy while still tailoring your approach to each market?

For me, it starts with having a clear understanding of our company’s global strategy – what we’re trying to achieve, the priorities that matter most, and the long-term vision that guides our decisions. That global clarity gives us the foundation to build a cohesive, aligned regional approach. From there, it’s all about truly understanding the nuances of each market. Audience’s behaviours, client’s expectations, cultural differences, and commercial realities can look very different across the region. I spend a lot of time listening to local teams and clients and their insights are invaluable. When you combine strong global direction with genuine local insight, you get a strategy that’s consistent where it should be and flexible where it needs to be. That balance allows us to stay unified as a region while empowering each market to deliver what works best for their audiences and clients.

Content windowing is increasingly complex in today’s ecosystem. How do you think about maximising both audience reach and revenue in a multi-platform environment?

Windowing today is about making smart choices, not just sequential ones. With so many platforms, we can’t rely on a one-size-fits-all model.

Instead, I focus on understanding the unique value each platform brings, who it reaches, how it monetises, and what role it plays in a title’s overall lifecycle. Equally important is understanding the brand and legacy of the content. Ultimately, the goal is to create a windowing strategy that feels dynamic and deliberate and that protects premium value and unlocks incremental revenue opportunities.

How do you foster collaboration across time zones and cultures?

Working in an international division and having spent many years in the APAC region including living in Asia, I’ve learned that great collaboration starts with taking the time to understand the people you’re working with. Every market has it own pace, communication styles, and cultural nuances, and appreciating those differences makes relationships so much stronger. I try and create clarity up front with clear goals, ownership, and expectations. When teams are spread across time zones, knowing exactly what success looks like helps everyone stay aligned even when we’re not online together. Flexibility and respect for each other’s time zones also goes a long way.

What’s been your proudest personal and professional achievement?

On a personal level, my proudest achievement is raising a family. Navigating the juggle of work, life, and parenthood has taught me resilience, empathy, and perspective. Professionally, I’m most proud of being able to negotiate and deliver deals that genuinely move the needle for the company. Working across the region and partnering with incredible teams around the world, I’ve had the privilege of securing some significant agreements that not only drive immediate value but also strengthen our long-term strategic position. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the impact of those deals play out across the business.

Who is Nicole Sinclair outside of Paramount? Where would we find you on weekends?

Outside of Paramount, I’m pretty much happiest when I’m outdoors or hanging out with my favourite people. If the sun’s out, I’m out too, finding any excuse to be outside. My weekends are all about slowing down, spending time with my family, and enjoying the simple stuff.
