Executive Producer of Ultimate Classroom
What do you love about your job and working at Paramount?
Making cool stuff!! There’s nothing more fun than getting out on location or into the studio and making great work with excellent people. And when I’m not doing that, I’m hanging out with the other creative legends in Paramount Brand Studio working on the next exciting project.
What are the challenges in your role?
It’s definitely a job where the pressure increases the closer you get to production — and once we’re shooting it’s go, go, go! But that’s half the fun.
We went snooping around the building this week and stumbled across the incredible set of Ultimate Classroom! What can you tell us?
Yes, Ultimate Classroom is back for a second season! We shot Season 1 in Brisbane so it’s great to be in the Pyrmont studio this time working with the outstanding 10 studio and design teams. Filling our set with weird and wonderful science stuff (Body parts! Drones! Test tubes!) has been a highlight. We even saw the return of the large-scale robot dog from Season one (cute but creepy…).
What’s your proudest personal and career moment?
Career-wise it’s hard to beat working with the incredible young contestants on Ultimate Classroom. We audition some of the smartest year 11 and 12 students in town, and once they’re on set flexing their STEM skills it’s pretty amazing to see. It’s so rewarding to make a show that celebrates smart kids!
Who is the Caroline outside of Paramount? What do you love to do on weekends?
Living with a four and a half year old means the weekends are mostly birthday parties and trips to the park! But I love a slow art gallery day (obsessed with White Rabbit at the moment).
What are your top 3 favourite Instagram accounts to follow?
I’m not an IG person! Does that mean I’m out of touch? Probably. TikTok however is the greatest social media platform in the world (in my opinion). Strongly recommend everyone follow @dearmodern (architecture and Feng Shui) @greedypeasant (niche medieval comedy, just trust me) and @chrisflemingfleming (iykyk).
