Six Cases. Six Truths. Only On Paramount+.
Award-winning journalist Hedley Thomas is one of Australia’s most trusted voices when it comes to true crime. And now, the journalist behind The Australian’s award-winning The Teacher’s Pet podcast brings his unique style to Paramount+ with Hedley Thomas Investigates.
Hedley builds on the global success of The Teacher’s Pet, which had over 100 million global podcast downloads and whose investigation drove public pressure leading to the conviction of Chris Dawson.
Across six self-contained episodes, Hedley will explore six true crime cases, unpacking each investigation clue by clue and offering fresh insights that challenge what we thought we knew.
Challenging assumptions and revealing major breakthroughs years later, Hedley brings his years of experience as a journalist, author, and podcast producer to take audiences through cases as they unfolded for detectives.
Hedley said: “True crime is ultimately about cold blooded killers, the life-changing decisions they make, the terrible consequences that follow for victims and their loved ones, and the unanswered questions that can linger for years.
“This series takes audiences inside a collection of extraordinary Australian cases, looking beyond the headlines to examine what really happened, why and who was affected, and what may remain unresolved. I’m excited to bring these stories to Paramount+ and show the truth is often far stranger and more compelling than fiction.”
With unprecedented access to family members, lawyers, detectives and witnesses of cases that captured the nation’s attention, Hedley Thomas Investigates will reveal how these perpetrators were brought to justice.
Hedley Thomas Investigates is a Warner Bros. International Television Production for Paramount+ Australia.
You can stream 30,000 hours of unique stories, iconic stars, live sport and a mountain of entertainment on Paramount+ with plans starting from $7.99 per month for a monthly subscription or from $70.99 for an annual subscription.
