Matt McDonell is Vice President of Finance at Paramount Australia, a role he stepped into at the end of 2025 after being promoted from Senior Finance Director – TV Media. As VP Finance, Matt leads financial strategy and performance across the Australian business.

With over 20 years of experience, Matt has built his career across some of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies, including Viacom, BBC Studios, and Foxtel, developing deep expertise in finance leadership, large-scale transformation, and strategic delivery.

His experience spans financial planning and analysis, commercial negotiations, organisational design, and the integration of corporate functions at scale.

Known for his ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams, Matt brings a rare combination of financial rigour and strategic thinking to complex, fast-moving environments.
