Sweet Success For Dessert Masters

December 13, 2023

Dessert Masters made its delicious debut in November in a short but sweet series made under the lights of the famed MasterChef Australia kitchen, with juggernaut judging duo Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon, at the helm.

The series took audiences on a transformative journey as 10 of Australia’s best pastry chefs created tasty treats beyond our wildest imaginations and whisked it all, to become the competition’s inaugural champion and win $100,000 in prize money.

Indulgent inspiration came from all corners – from nostalgia to mentors, nature to pop culture, art to film and beyond. Precision mixed with boundless creativity produced dishes that were as spectacular as they were delectable.

But it was Gareth Whitton from Tarts Anon who took the cake and was crowned the first ever Dessert Master.

Audiences were salivating at their screens with this sugar-hit series baking up an impressive first season.
