Network 10 has been the proud sponsor of the South 31 Rottnest Channel Swim for the past 13 years and word in the pool is this was one of our most successful swims to date.
Representing Network 10 were Bondi Rescue’s Hoppo, Reidy and Harrison Reid and a flurry of staff including cameraman, Karl Carosella (showing off by completing the 19.7km swim in a mere 5 hours and 39 minutes), Rosie Sargent and Simone Cowcher from Perth, Nic Duell-Ferguson from Sydney and Alex O’Shaughnessy from Melbourne who absolutely smashed it!
Prior to swim day, the Bondi Rescue trio were kept busy with numerous television and radio interviews. However, the most heart-warming appearance was the visit to Perth’s Children’s Hospital where the boys jumped on air at Radio Lollipop with a very special guest, SpongeBob SquarePants.
On Event Day, the start and finish line were commentated by 10’s star reporters Lachlan Reid, Breanna Inferrera and Amelia Simpson who set the tone of the day by providing an energetic atmosphere for swimmers and spectators alike!
Rottnest Island hosted Network 10’s Chill Out Zone activation that was decked out with a marquee, umbrellas, sunscreen and zinc sticks which families flocked to on the day. Network 10 staff also handed out Simmo’s Ice Cream vouchers to those who interacted with 10’s social platforms, giving @10Perth instagram engagement a massive boost.
