Interstate travel
Local travel restrictions vary from state to state. The Australian Government Health Direct website provides up to date information on the border and travel restrictions for each state.
Specific NSW Government restrictions have been implemented for travel between NSW and Victoria:
- Melbourne hot spot residents should not travel to NSW
- NSW residents should avoid visiting Melbourne and residents returning from hot spot areas need to take special precautions.
- If you must go to Melbourne it’s essential that on return to Sydney you monitor yourself carefully for COVID symptoms and get tested even if you have mild symptoms.
All travel for work related purposes will be managed on a case by case basis.
Please make sure you speak to your manager about any upcoming travel you have panned.
Health
Even though restrictions are easing in some states, it’s still important to properly managing your health during this time. Here are some things to remember:
- If you are returning from overseas you will be required by the Australian Government to participate in mandatory quarantine. You should also let your manager know.
- If you have tested positive for COVID-19 you must advise your manager and/or 10’s national health & wellbeing manager, Kathy Fernandez, and follow medical advice. You will be required to stay away from the office for at least 14 days, re-test and test negative for COVID-19 before returning to the office.
- If you are unwell with COVID-19 related symptoms and have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 you should advise your manager and/or 10’s national health & wellbeing manager, stay home and seek COVID-19 testing. You will be required to stay away from the office for 14 days regardless of testing results.
- If you are unwell with potential COVID-19 related symptoms but have not had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 you should advise your manager and/or 10’s national health & wellbeing manager and seek COVID-19 testing. If tested negative you may return to work once your symptoms have resolved.
- If you are generally unwell, you should let your manager know and stay at home. The National Employee Standards sick leave guidelines apply and you may return to work once you are well.
- If you have no symptoms and have not been in close contact with confirmed case of COVID-19 you may choose to seek COVID-19 testing. This may be particularly relevant for those living in current COVID-19 hotspots. You do not have to stay off work while awaiting your results.
COVID-19 testing facilities are easily accessible across Australia. Here is some info on where to get tested:
