This Thursday is R U OK? Day. A national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘Are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life. However, many Australians don’t feel qualified to ask someone they’re concerned about if they’re OK.
So to help you build the skills and knowledge to have these conversations, HR have organised a one hour webinar where participants will:
- Understand the neuroscience and value of connecting with a trusted person
- Gain understanding of the different mindsets people can be in when they are not travelling well and how these contribute to them feeling unable to reach out for support
- Gain insight into the warning signs that someone they know may not be travelling well
- Build skills in having conversations with someone who is unwell and become skilled at linking people in with professional support
- Learn how to become a connector of support
The webinar will take place on Wednesday, September 14 at 2.30pm AEST.
