Dark comedic melodrama, Why Women Kill has a new home on Paramount+.
From creator Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives), season two of Why Women Kill will feature a new ensemble cast and storylines, all set in 1949, that will explore what it means to be beautiful, the hidden truth behind the facades people present to the world, the effects of being ignored and overlooked by society and, finally, the lengths one woman will go to in order to finally belong.
With Ginnfer Goodwin and Lucy Lui stealing the show in season one, this time around expect gripping performances from Allison Tolman (Fargo, The Gift), Lana Parrilla (24, Spin City), B.K. Cannon (Switched At Birth), Jordane Christie and Matthew Daddario.
Allison Tolma plays Alma, a zaftig frump, who sets her sights on joining an exclusive garden club for well-heeled ladies in suburban, post war America. It’s here where she meets Rita (Lana Parilla), who runs the garden club with an iron fist and indulges in some sinister extracurricular activities.
Season two of Why Women Kill joins Five Bedrooms, iCarly, Two Weeks To Live and blockbuster move Infinite premiering exclusively on Paramount+ from August 11.
