A Double Elimination Shocks The Big Brother House.
The Big Brother house was rocked by a shock double elimination on Sunday night when a member of the public was given the power to eliminate a second housemate.
On Sunday night, Jane, Mia, and Allana were all on the chopping block and sadly for our Groovy Granny Jane it was time to go. While the housemates were recovering from her eviction, there was one more grenade that would literally ring through the house.
Throughout the week, housemates have been receiving phone calls from the outside world, but Big Brother left the most shocking call until last.
A handful of Aussies were given the chance to dial into the Big Brother house and whoever got through first had the power to save one of the remaining two housemates up for nomination. Unfortunately for Mia, our lucky caller Bec decided to save Allana, meaning it was her time to go.
Jane’s time in the house started with a bang, being voted in as the 13th housemate she was tasked with hiding for 90 seconds, or risk being automatically nominated in the first evictions.
She then clashed with Holly after the house’s first kiss sent shockwaves across Dreamworld. The tension was palpable, with both Jane and Holly nominated in the first week, but the close call with eviction softened Holly (and her pash rash), and she and Jane were able to mend their relationship.
Surviving her first eviction, Jane’s feathers were ruffled by some of the younger members of the house and their gassy tendencies. But fart-gate really began to explode when Jane told the boys that their emissions were a sign of disrespect.
Fart-gate unleashed when Jane was confronted in the BB Eatz kitchen by an enraged Bruce. After apologies were traded, the house returned to a harmonious dysfunctional family. Unfortunately for Jane, the public had voted to save Allana and Mia this week.
Speaking to Mel Tracina after her eviction, Jane said: “It was hard because.,. every day I’ve been in the house I’ve been nominated so it’s been really quite difficult.”
“I hope Big Brother revs it up next week in there!”
Jane also commented on the gassy nature of the housemates saying, “It’s absolutely been disgusting. It was a little bit inappropriate, it was a shock… I did lose it, and I didn’t take it very well but hey, that’s just me and I said I was going to be me and call it out!
“I don’t think [the boys] appreciated a granny telling them not to do things they’ve been doing all their life.”
While Jane admitted that her favourites in the house are Allana and Holly, she was quick to add that she hopes Conor takes out the win. “He needs to get his everything out there to Australia… I have learned so much from him, he’s been amazing.”

During her farewell, Jane said to Mel she believed Mia would be the next housemate to face eviction… little did she know how soon that would be! As Mel explained to Jane and the housemates, one caller would be ringing the house phone to save either Allana or Mia.
After Jane’s eviction, Mia had been lulled into a false sense of security until she received the call that would change everything!
Initially stirring some housemates with her opinions, the unflappable Mia was able to win over even the harshest of critics (aka Michael) despite their conflicting opinions on gender roles and the gender pay gap.
Her radical optimism and ability to talk underwater made her a constant source of entertainment for audiences, but in the first shopping task she was simultaneously voted ‘most annoying’ and ‘least memorable’ by her fellow housemates, causing friction between Mia and some of the boys.
Having been removed from the house in such a shocking fashion, Mia’s unrequited crush on Edward would sadly never be realised but at least her sister’s phone calls will!
Speaking to Mel Tracina after her eviction, Mia said she was devastated but, “I’m leaving here with a smile on my face.
“I thought, oh my gosh I’m saved. I was devastated that [Jane] was gone but I was like, okay Australia saved me. But that’s the thing with Big Brother, there’s always a twist!
“I just couldn’t believe I got chosen for this and got to meet such incredible people. I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to carry that outside with me.
“I’ll keep on being me, outspoken, loud… annoying!” Mia laughed.
The shock double elimination may have shaken up the house, but Big Brother has plenty more surprises up his sleeve. You won’t want to miss what happens next!
