We’re pretty pleased with how our audience numbers have been tracking lately. No, we’re not getting complacent. Television is a tough, hyper-competitive game and we’re up against some big shows on the other networks. But let us boast a little here…
- We’re in our seventh consecutive month of audience share growth. That’s right, seven!
- So far this year, we have increased our commercial share every single week.
- So far this year, our network prime-time audience is up 9% and 11% in under 50s. How are our rivals doing? They are in decline.
- So far this year, our network commercial share is up 2.9 points to 25.1% while our under 50s is up 5.2 points to a nice, round 30%.
- Australian Survivor: All Stars is a hit across all screens. On the big screen (broadcast TV) it has pumped up our audience in its timeslot by 30% and 59% in under 50s compared with 2019.
- The Project is on fire this year, lifting its audience 14% and 17% in under 50s.
- Ambulance Australia is a star performer on Thursday nights for us. It’s up 8% year-on-year and posting its best numbers since December 2018.
- Dancing With The Stars is proving that a lot of people are looking for wholesome family TV fun on Sunday nights. It’s doing a good job for us, with last Sunday’s episode jumping 38% week-on-week and ranking #2 in its timeslot, ahead of a heavily-promoted koala show on another network.
- BTW,10 Bold has grown its audience for the past 55 consecutive weeks. You read right: 55 weeks. Is that a record for a TV channel? We’re too busy making sure our content is fantastic to check, but we’re pretty sure it is.
- What about BVOD you ask? So far in 2020, minutes viewed on 10 Play are up 59%. No other network comes close to matching that increase.
