Ian, tell us about your role as Regulatory Affairs Manager and what you love about working at 10 ViacomCBS?
I work to ensure compliance with media regulation and help represent our interests to government policy makers, legislators and regulators.
I love working with fantastic people and contributing in some small way to the great content that we deliver to our audience.
We’ve heard a rumour that you actively try to reduce your carbon footprint. Can you tell us a bit about that?
While the current pandemic consumes governments and societies, climate change remains the long-term threat to our wellbeing. Although global solutions are required, as individuals, we can all reduce our carbon footprint through the choices we make about energy use at home, our transportation options and the goods & services we consume.
What are some things we can be doing in our daily lives to help make an impact?
Just little things like switching off devices and appliances to save electricity, shorter showers, buying in bulk to reduce the number of transportation trips (whether online or bricks & mortar shopping) and reuse/recycle. In the office take the stairs rather than the elevator and turn off your computer monitor when you have finished for the day.
What’s your #1 lockdown survival tip?
I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, so my #1 tip is to claim a corner of your home where you “go to work” and barricade yourself in!
Modern Slavery Statement
As with many other business, Network Ten Pty Limited is now required to submit an annual Modern Slavery Statement to the Dept of Home Affairs.
Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom. Modern slavery practices can include human trafficking, slavery, and forced labour.
The statement covers mandatory criteria explaining our actions to assess and address modern slavery risks in the N10 operations and supply chain.
It is important to consider the risk of modern slavery when dealing with suppliers, especially those with operations overseas.
