This week, the Sydney Publicity Team scored themselves a new team member by the name of Hannah Pemberton.
Hannah has come to us from NITV/SBS where she held the role of Senior Communications Specialist. And while she brings years of experience and a wealth of knowledge of the world of PR, we’d be lying if we said her doggo Instagram account placed her well above all other candidates.
Welcome to Paramount ANZ and Team Publicity! What’s your role and what does it entail?
Thank you so much!
I’ll be looking after the publicity for a variety of shows across drama, reality and entertainment – to start with, Studio 10!
Hear someone shouting about Studio 10 from the rooftop? That’s me! My days can be very varied, from media relations to talent management to writing press releases… No day is the same!
What are you most excited about working at Paramount?
The incredible variety of programs, as well as the fact that Paramount is a leader in diversity, equity and inclusion, which is a core reason I was keen to come on board.
Paramount has a great reputation in the media industry for being such a friendly workplace, and I’ve already been made to feel incredibly welcome.
What do you love to do outside of work?
It’ll be no secret to anyone within five minutes of meeting me that I love dogs.
I run an Instagram account called Doggos of Erko (@doggosoferko) where I snap the pooches of Erskineville and give them a little moment in the spotlight!
If I’m not sneaking pics of pups, you’ll find me planning a weekend getaway, attempting to try all the coffee in Sydney’s Inner West or, of course, watching content.
What are you top three favourite shows of all time?
The toughest question… I’m going to go with, Sex And The City (ground-breaking!), Kath & Kim and This Way Up. And my favourite watch of the year is Yellowjackets!
What’s the one song that never fails to get you on the dance floor?
An oldie but a goodie – Man! I Feel Like A Woman. Shout out to Harry Styles for getting Shania back on the airwaves!
