Buddy the elf works for Paramount as a contractor once a year, usually working between our gift-wrapping room and the rooftop candy cane forest. What’s that? Yes, of course we have a gift-wrapping department. How could you even ask that question?
We sat down with Buddy over some candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup to get to know him better.
What do you love most about working at Paramount?
I just like to smile. Smiling’s my favourite!

Is it really possible to treat every day like Christmas?
Oh yes, you just need to tap into your Christmas Spirit. Everybody knows that.
Plus, you can work all night and not get any sleep and use all your furniture to turn into Christmas garlands, tree decorations and fairy lights. You don’t need furniture when you’re surrounded by Christmas cheer!
What are the biggest challenges this time of year?
People not believing in Santa. I love everybody but sometimes I think the people who don’t believe in Santa are nothing but cotton-headed ninny muggings!
What does a perfect day look like for you?
First, we make snow angels for two hours, and then we’ll go ice skating, and then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookie Dough as fast as we can, and then to finish, we’ll snuggle.
Who is your best friend in whole wide world?
Oh boy, that’s a tough one. How do I choose between Papa Elf, my dad, artic puffin, Mr Narwhal, Leon the snowman, and of course Santa!

Remember that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Oh, and also, I love you, I love you, I LOVVVVVE YOU!
