What’s your drink of choice on a first date?
Giacomo: Extra dry gin martini. Not only on a first date, but also on the second!
What are some first dates dos and don’ts?
James:
- DO: Dress smart and look sharp. First impressions count.
- DON’T: Don’t be rude to staff. No one wants a “Karen” on a date!
- DO: Be interested in your date. Don’t make it all about you.
- DON’T: Don’t fire endless questions at your date. It’s not a job interview.
What are the best first date talk topics?
Ama:
- Learn about each other’s family and friends.
- Travel experiences – Where have you been? Where’s your dream destination? etc.
- Ambitions – Where do you see yourself in a few years? Work out if your goals are aligned.
Do pick up lines work?
Luka:
I once used a line from Friends to pick up a guy. He told me that Luka was a really cool name, so I told him that if he liked that, he should hear my phone number… I’m still cringing to this day.
