Annie’s Got Plenty Of Met-Tricks Up Her Sleeve!

To keep track of our performance, we at P+ keep our eyes on all of our subscribers and the content they engage with!

Obviously we track our new paid subscribers and free trialists, as well as how many are watching content every day on all of our apps, platforms and distribution partners, like Amazon Channels and Fetch TV.

We start by identifying the marketing initiative that drove them to sign up, and also track their “First Stream” or. the first program or movie they watched after joining P+. We’re also analysing the devices and platforms they prefer to use, their favourite streaming times in a week, the genre of content they engage with and much more. We are currently working on preparing a prediction model to prompt our subscribers at the right moment, to sign up or extend their paid subscription, by pre-emptively prompting them with relevant offers and content recommendations.

We also track and analyse each piece of content that is available to stream on P+, from shows like 1883 and The Last King Of The Cross to our extensive football coverage. We regularly analyse and classify content in two simple ways – did the content get people to sign up for Paramount+, and does it keep people watching on the service? We work closely with the Marketing and Content teams to better classify and understand our audience and their preferences.
