Our digital team are busy preparing 10 Play’s biggest coverage of the Melbourne Cup Carnival yet, with more content than ever before.

What is your role in bringing The Melbourne Cup Carnival to life on 10 Play?

Vanessa: I oversee the strategy for how the Melbourne Cup Carnival comes alive on 10 Play. I work with our amazing 10 Sport broadcast team as well as Sales and Effect and the Victorian Racing Club (VRC) to make sure the 10 Play team have everything they need to make the Melbourne Cup Hub on 10 Play awesome (which is it is!).

Duncan: Content. Content. Content. I work closely with all our incredible teams at 10 and our partners such as TAB, Lexus and the VRC to ensure we have amazing content on the Hub well before the Carnival kicks off, and continue growing the site across Carnival week. I’ll be working with the team uploading all the best bits from the events so people can enjoy all things Melbourne Cup Carnival at home and on their devices, at any time.

What can we expect to find on 10 Play this Melbourne Cup?

Vanessa: With no one on-course this year and so many people working from home, the digital experience of the Melbourne Cup Carnival is more important than ever. The 10 Play Melbourne Cup Carnival hub will make you feel like you are in the middle of the action.

The hub has some amazing features, fashion and food. And, of course, the live stream and catchup of every race will all be available on 10 Play. There’s even an awesome downloadable party pack with a pocket horse, selfie props and bunting for your at home celebration!

Duncan: This year is even bigger and you can find an incredible amount of videos, galleries and information on 10 Play. We have some incredible archived historic moments from as far back as 1896 and including footage of Phar Lap!

We also have our Unsung Heroes series which provides insight into how horses are helping an RFS Captain work through PTSD after the ferocity of the bushfires, and how an equine physiotherapist is helping contender Finche in this year’s race.

What’s different about this year?

Vanessa: There is an amazing line-up of musicians performing as part of the carnival this year, those watching the broadcast will be able to enjoy performances from Delta Goodrem, The Rubens, Sam Fischer and The Masked Singer Australia winner Bonnie Anderson and so many more. As an added bonus 10 Play will be the home to additional performances and behind the scenes interviews from every artist!

Duncan: We’re bringing together so much more content this time around. We have catch-up on every race, the best of the fashion, food, Melbourne Cup Carnival history, entertainment and more. Check out the Hub.
