Around the world, there are thousands of people that are alive today because of a unified bond. And every two years, they have the opportunity to come together at an international sporting event which marks a global celebration of the gift of life.
The participants all have one thing in common – they’ve either received or donated an organ.
Second Chance Champions follows a group of organ recipients and donors as they participate in the 2023 World Transplant Games. Held in Perth, 1,500 athletes and their supporters from 46 countries descend on WA to compete and celebrate, all while living life to the full.
In support of DonateLife Thank You Day, which takes place on Sunday, 19 November, Second Chance Champions delves deep into the stories behind the games – from those who have been given a second chance at life, to those who have given them that gift.
Follow their stories as they join together, competing for their countries and a chance at a medal.
