Lara Herrmann is one of our exceptional Sales Executives from our Adelaide office, who enjoys restaurant hopping and field hockey. Though not necessarily in that order.
Lara tells us about her role and what it’s like to work at Paramount ANZ.
What is your role and what does it entail?
I am a Sales Executive within the Adelaide sales team. I am lucky enough to work across our biggest client in Adelaide, Mitsubishi.
My day-to-day includes putting together advertising campaigns, monitoring audience deliveries and liaising with the agency and our internal teams to bring sponsorships to life (including Have You Been Paying Attention? and Taskmaster).
My other very important jobs include snack provider and office DJ, the hardest part is resisting to play the 10-minute version of Taylor Swift’s All Too Well.
What drew you to this role?
Our then Sales Director (now General Manager and Sales Director), Cam Mudge, presented a lecture in one of my university classes. He spoke about the company and what working at 10/MCN would be like and I was immediately sold.
After the lecture ended, I spoke to Cam, asked for a business card and applied for a Sales Coordinator role as soon as one became available.
This was over six years ago. Since then, I’ve been promoted from Coordinator to Executive.
What do you love about working at Paramount? Specifically, amongst the Adelaide team?
My favourite part about working at Paramount is the culture. I feel really lucky as I love coming to work!
The team here in Adelaide make me laugh every single day, they are also hardworking, supportive and dedicated. I love that they know how to get the job done whilst also not taking things too seriously.
I also think we have the best programs, which makes working in sales so much easier! My faves include Australian Survivor, Hunted and HYBPA!
The Adelaide team recently moved to brand new digs. Who is the messiest department and why is it Sales?
Cheeky! Although I can’t really deny it!
Our new office space is beautiful, some of the highlights include the green wall and our stand-up desks! The only negative is the severe lack of forks.
Who is the Lara Herrmann outside of work? What do you love to do?
I recently got married to my partner of 11 years, so Lara Herrmann outside of work is now Lara Edwards! Oliver and I live in the Adelaide hills with our two dogs, Murphy and Zylo!
I am obsessed with food, most weekends are spent eating at our favourite restaurants and cafes. There is nothing better than catching up with a friend over pizza and a glass of red wine!
I also love sport and I’m very competitive, in the last couple of years I’ve played women’s footy and field hockey. Both sports are so much fun but I’m definitely sticking with hockey as I enjoy not being tackled to the ground.
What are your top three favourite accounts to follow on the social medias?
I generally like to let the algorithm do its thing. I feel like it knows me better than I know myself!
